TeTon Environmental, PLLC

Organization and retrieval of information is one of the major challenges associated with
managing environmental programs.  Examples include potential storm water, hazardous waste
and oil pollution sources, best management practices, environmental management system-
related activities, compliance and other schedules, industrial user activities, audit-related
findings, and other information associated with environmental programs.

We have provided services to industrial facilities and municipalities for environmental
information management goals.  Project experience includes:

ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) Database Development and Assistance
(textiles manufacturing facility), Manchester and Somersworth, New Hampshire.
 Provided
services to an organization’s two facilities in New Hampshire for ISO 14001 registration.
Specific assignments and responsibilities included assessing the facility’s environmental
impacts by conducting a comprehensive aspect/impact analysis and assisting in the
development of a database scoring system that utilized nine criteria to prioritize and identify
“significant” impacts.  All aspects of the facility operations were tabulated to provide a basis for
measuring environmental performance of the organization.  During the subsequent successful
registration audit, the auditors identified this element of the EMS as exemplary.

OHSAS 18001–Compliant Safety Management System (lamp manufacturer), Manchester, New
Hampshire.
Developed a Microsoft Access® database for tracking and assessing health and
safety risks for an Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001
compliant safety management system.  The database includes a scoring system algorithm that
utilizes seven criteria to identify and prioritize significant hazards and risks.

Industrial User Database Development, Lebanon, New Hampshire.  Prepared a relational
electronic database for tracking industrial users as part of Lebanon’s industrial pretreatment
program.  The database included the development and organization of the following items:  a
detailed summary of industrial users; raw material usage; existing and proposed process and
sanitary flow information; a module to assist in preparation of discharge permit request (DPR)
submittals; mailing labels; and a historical DPR activity log.

ISO 14001 EMS Implementation (lamp manufacturer), Manchester, New Hampshire.  Served
as ISO 14001 management specialists providing assistance to client’s Manchester, New
Hampshire facility for ISO 14001 registration.  Specific information management assignments
and responsibilities included assisting in the development of a database to prioritize and
identify “significant” impacts and another database to manage internal/external
communications and corrective and preventive actions for regulatory and EMS
nonconformances.  During the subsequent successful registration audit, the auditors identified
the aspect/impact database element of the EMS as “state of the art”.

Environmental Regulatory Compliance Audit Database (plastic extrusion manufacturing facility),
Manchester, New Hampshire.
Developed a Microsoft Access® database to document
environmental audit findings and regulatory programs and generate several audit-related
reports in tabular format.  The database was designed to be able to document subsequent
internal and external audit findings, as well as a report that functions as an auditing checklist, to
be used by the client for conducting future internal audits.

Integrated Contingency Plan Framework, various clients in New Hampshire, Maine, and
Massachusetts.
Conceived, implemented, and upgraded the structure of a regulatory plan
development tool used for storm water, oil spill prevention, and hazardous waste
preparedness, prevention and contingency plans.  This Microsoft Access® database was used
as a business tool to significantly reduce narrative effort, promote consistency of format and
reduce the potential for omissions, and significantly facilitated plan updates.  Initially used only
for storm water pollution prevention plans, its capabilities have incrementally evolved and
expanded.  Subsequently, this tool has been used in the preparation of numerous regulatory
plans.
